Bihar defeat due to caste polarisation: Rajasthan Health Minister Rajendra Rathore
BUNDI: Defeat of BJP-led NDA in Bihar was the result of polarisation of votes on the basis of caste in favour of the grand alliance, Rajasthan Health Minister Rajendra Rathore said.

"The votes in Bihar were polarised on the basis of caste in favour of the Mahagadhbandhan, " he said, adding that the Bihar poll result would have no effect on the BJP's functioning in the country.

The Minister made the comments yesterday after the election of the BJP district president from Bundi.

BJP MLA from Bundi Ashok Dogra, was declared as the district's BJP president amid allegations of " partiality" and an " undemocratic procedure of election" by some party workers.

However, Rathore, the election officer said that Dogra was elected "unanimously."

Rathore and state transport minister Babulal Verma, who was also present during the entire election, had to face protest by their own party workers who raised slogans against both the leaders alleging partiality in favor of Dogra.
