Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar, CNR Rao in April

The government may have been prompt to announce a Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar the day of his retirement, but the cricketer will have to wait till April to actually receive the award.

The investiture ceremony for the annual Padma awards is held in April after they are announced on Republic Day and the government has decided to award the Bharat Ratna to Tendulkar and scientist CNR Rao at the same ceremony.
