Bhagat Singh Koshyari unsuitable for governor's post: Sharad Pawar

Criticism against Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's comments on Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji continues to rage in Maharashtra, with NCP chief Sharad Pawar calling Koshyari unsuitable for the governor's post as the latter has "crossed all limits".

"For a few years, we have been saying that the governor has been making controversial statements, it has become his speciality. He keeps giving wrong statements on our popular figures -- from Savitribai Phule to Shivaji. It looks like he is on a mission. What these statements show is that the Centre has sent a person (as the Governor) who has no sense of responsibility on how to behave in his position," Pawar said on Thursday.

"I feel that the President and the prime minister should take cognizance of this and take a decision on him. I feel that such a responsibility (of Governor's post) should not be given to such people," he said.
