Eleven years after one-way traffic regulation was imposed on Residency Road, Richmond Road and surrounding areas, the traffic police is toying with the idea of reversing the flow of traffic on these roads. In a detailed plan resentation -developed by SLS Transport Training Institute and Consultancy -the police are confident that reversing traffic from Mayo Hall to Richmond Circle flyover on Residency Road and from India Garage to Richmond circle on Richmond Road would decongest several junctions. With the traffic police wing now headed by M A Saleem, known in his circles as 'One Way' Saleem, Bharath Joshi dissects the proposal.
