Bengaluru: LoP in Karnataka Assembly R. Ashoka, LoP in Karnataka Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, BJP MLAs and MLCs stage a protest against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar over the death of 11 people in a stampede near the Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The Opposition BJP on Sunday staged a protest demonstration at Vidhana Soudha to press for the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Dy CM DK Shivakumar over the tragic stampede outside of Chinnaswamy stadium that claimed 11 lives.

The two have lost their moral right to rule after the death of 11 persons, Opposition leader R Ashoka (BJP) said.

He called the two top leaders as the Real Culprits of Bengaluru (RCB) while urging them to step down and face the law for “causing deaths” by negligence. He was accompanied by Opposition leader in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy.

Ashoka said the BJP would stand by the suspended police officers as the government went ahead with the events ignoring their warning.

The BJP leaders are also planning to meet the Governor seeking his intervention.
