BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written to Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu highlighting infrastructure projects in Bengaluru awaiting release of funds from the Centre under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Renewal Mission ( JNNURM).

Some of the projects his letter mentions are: Remodelling the storm water drain in Hebbal, Vrushabhavathi, Koramangala, and Challaghatta valleys; Construction of underpasses at Malleswaram Circle, Tagore Circle and infrastructure upgrade in Koramangala.

The Centre, he said, had sanctioned 67 projects under the JNNURM programme and the state had performed "very well" in reaching the goals for these projects. The Centre too, he said, had recognised the state's achievement and, awarded it a 95.4% score in reforms calibration. The Centre also gave Karnataka best performer award for JNNURM projects last year.
