Bengaluru drivers may go on strike if Ola & Uber don’t meet demands

The association of drivers for cab aggregators such as Ola and Uber in Bengaluru are set to issue a representation to the two ride-hailing companies on Saturday with a set of demands. The association has threatened to go on a strike if the demands are not met. Tanveer Pasha, president of Ola, TaxiForSure and Uber Drivers and Owners Association, said the members will meet with the management of both Ola and Uber on Saturday, asking for increase in rates per kilometre, fixed rates and a helpline for customers. They will wait for a response for 15 days, he said.
