Amit Shah lays out Bengal security road map with anti-terror squad & NIA-like agency
Kolkata: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that after a decade-long struggle, the BJP has finally formed a government in the state and that the journey towards building a "Sonar Bangla" had begun.

In a bid to strengthen Bengal's internal security, Shah, at a high-level meeting, laid emphasis on the need to establish an 'Anti-Narcotics Task Force', an 'Anti-Terrorist Squad', and a 'Special Investigation Agency', modeled on the NIA, in the state.

"The PM has gifted Bengalis with 'misti doi' for the victory," Shah said as he virtually performed the bhumi pujan for Amul's curd manufacturing plant at Sankrail in Howrah, being set up with an investment of ₹700 crore. "I assure you that Amul's misti doi from this plant will be loved by people from Jammu to Kanyakumari. The plant will process 10 lakh litres of milk and curd daily, benefiting 1.2 lakh small dairy producers and animal herders," he said. The integrated dairy complex will have an overall processing capacity of 30 lakh litres per day, making it one of the largest dairy facilities in the country.

Appreciating CM Suvendu Adhikari's "super-speed", Shah said he was confident that the vision of a "Sonar Bangla" would become a reality under his leadership.

Museum of Word

Shah also inaugurated the Museum of Word, the first of its kind in India, which traces the evolution of language. Developed at the National Library under the aegis of the Union culture ministry, India's first immersive language museum, also known as Shabdalok, celebrates the country's rich linguistic heritage and showcases the evolution of its oral and written traditions through interactive, technology-driven exhibits.
