Bengali actor Locket Chatterjee joins BJP
"When I joined TMC I had said I want to work. Now I am quitting it as I feel suffocated there and can't work," Chatterjee said.

Chatterjee, who was a member of the state's women commission, said she is also quitting the commission since she is no longer in TMC.
"When I joined TMC I had said I want to work. Now I am quitting it as I feel suffocated there and can't work," Chatterjee said after joining the party in the presence of BJP state president Rahul Sinha.
"I felt that BJP is a party where I see everyone is trying to work for the society and hence I feel that I can connect with it," she said.
Welcoming her into the party, Sinha said BJP would be strengthened by her entry into the party.
Sinha said that Chatterjee would campaign for the party for the next week's by-election to Bongaon Lok Sabha and Kishnagunj assembly seats.
"Those in TMC who are not involved in corruption should follow her footstep," he said.
