Firing a warning shot at the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that after the May 4 election results, the ruling party’s “goons” would have no place to hide in West Bengal and that no one would be able to protect them. Addressing a rally at Dum Dum, which goes to polls on April 29, PM Modi turned up the political heat, claiming that the record turnout in the first phase of polling had already signalled the end of what he termed the TMC’s “maha jungle raj.”
