Bengal has received Rs 2,35,290 crore worth investment despite note ban: Mamata Banerjee
In the previous two years, Bengal secured investment of Rs 4,93,000; and 40% of those projects are in various stages of implementation.

Adding that the state has secured investments across sectors like urban development, manufacturing, MSME and transport, she said that the total investment figure includes foreign investments. Chinese companies have expressed interest in a Rs 27000 cr mass rail transit programme; while the state government-owned HIDCO has signed MoUs with Korean companies to develop "green city" projects, she said.

Later in a post in the Face Book, the chief minister announced the dates for next year and it is scheduled to be held on 16-17 January, 2018. Dr Frank - Jurgen Richter, Chairman, Horasis Global Vision Committee and former Director, World Economic Forum announced that the first ever Horasis Asia meeting in India will be held in Kolkata during 26 -27 November 2017. The Meeting will witness participation of over 400 top global business leaders from 75 countries, she posted.
