Bengal Congress leader writes to Sonia Gandhi ahead of polls, seeks nod to form alliance with ISF

In the run-up to the upcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal, Congress leader Abdul Mannan has written a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi seeking permission to form an alliance with Abbas Siddiqui’s Indian Secular Front (ISF). Mannan, leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly has expressed concerns over minority votes and highlighted that minority voters have shifted away from the Congress which was evident from the last parliamentary election 2019. He urged Gandhi to give permission to form a grand alliance with the ISF.
