KOLKATA: Bengal BJP leadership will meet the Union home minister Rajnath Singh during third week of the current month to complain against Mamata Banerjee's government, which, according to BJP, is using police and administration to implicate falsely the BJP leaders in various criminal cases.

"We are planning to go to Delhi and meet the Union home minister to complain against Mamata Banerjee who has been using the police and her administration to implicate falsely our leaders in various criminal cases in order to thwart organisation growth of BJP," party's state president Dilip Ghosh told ET. He said presently, the party is busy organising Modi (Making Of Developed India) Fest which started on May 26 in about 900 cities in the country, to highlight achievements of the Union government to mark completion of it's three years in office.

"After completion of Modi Fest in our state, we will meet Rajnath Singh Ji in Delhi, tentatively on June 25 to apprise him of the current situation in Bengal in which the ruling Trinamool Congress is aggressively trying to thwart growth of the BJP with help and support from the state administration. We have prepared a detailed report highlighting the cases in which our party leaders and activists were implicated falsely in criminal cases. The police in Bengal are working as Trinamool Congress agents and this should be stopped immediately," Ghosh mentioned.

He said several key Union ministers would be visiting Bengal during the Modi Fest to highlight achievements of the Union government and to tell people how Mamata's government was misleading them about certain Central government schemes by claiming that all those were being run by her government.

Interestingly, Uttar Pradesh health minister Siddharth Nath Singh, who was also in charge of the party's Bengal affair, will visit Bengal during the Modi Fest.
