Bengal BJP to float new cultural front today
Apart from launching the new cultural outfit, BJP's North-East district unit will open a new party office in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The leader of the new cultural front and actor George Baker told ET on Monday that about 3,000 artists and technicians have already joined them and will be present at Tuesday's inaugural show of the forum. “Trinamool Congress had purchased many artists, but there are many others who have sacrificed and contributed a lot for Bengali cinema and we want to honour them through our new wing. Most of these 3,000 artists and technicians are known to the people of our state, but the people don't know their sacrifices for Bengali cinema. We will highlight this part of their lives,“ Baker said.
BJP sources said that this new front will campaign for the party during next year's elections to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and Assembly elections in 2016.
Apart from launching the new cultural outfit, BJP's North-East district unit will open a new party office in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Party's district president Umashankar Agarwal told ET on Monday that about 500 political activists, mostly from Trinamool Congress and Congress will join them during opening ceremony of the new party office on Tuesday.
BJP spokesperson Ritesh Tiwary also said in a statement on Monday that the consulate general of France will meet their party president Rahul Sinha at the state party office on Tuesday.
