Bengal BJP to educate people on cashless transactions

BJP’s IT cell members will tour the state to educate people on how to opt for cashless transactions.

Mamata Banerjee is trying to provoke people against PM Narendra Modi, according to state BJP president Dilip Ghosh.
KOLKATA: Bengal BJP plans a statewide campaign to convince people about the positive sides of cashless transactions. This was decided during a two-day Chintan Shibir held at Diamond Harbour recently.

BJP’s IT cell members will tour the state to educate people on how to opt for cashless transactions.

“To counter campaigns by the ruling party in our state and to make people aware about positive side of cashless transactions, our workers will tour entire districts and hold small meetings to help people learn about using debit and credit cards and e-banking. Our Yuva Morcha has already started the process and we apprehend attacks on our workers from the Trinamool Congress,” Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh told ET.

“We have also started the process to educate our own party workers on ebanking and cashless transactions. Our IT cell is helping us carrying out this mission,” Ghosh added.

“Some members of our IT department have come back after a training on how to use mobile banking and other cashless transactions. We have prepared a few teams of 2-3 experienced IT guys. They are touring districts and conducting workshops and training sessions both for our party workers and locals,” he added.

“Mamata Banerjee is constantly trying to provoke people against Modiji. It is very easy to instigate common people, but it is very difficult to convince common people about good sides of cashless economy and we have taken up this difficult job to blunt Mamata Banerjee’s attacks against Narendra Modi,” said a senior BJP leader.
