Bengal BJP delegation to visit Delhi to attend meeting with BJP National President JP Nadda

A high-level BJP delegation from Bengal, led by BJP state President Sukanta Majumdar, will visit New Delhi on Thursday to attend a meeting with BJP National President J P Nadda and National General secretary (organization) B L Santosh on Thursday to discuss and review the poll debacle in Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) election. Meanwhile, after several debacle from state assembly polls, by-poll to the recent KMC polls, West Bengal BJP has announced the new state committee, which has inducted a bunch of new faces, MP and around 8 MLAs to boost the party.

The BJP has inducted several MPs Jagannath Sarkar, Arjun Singh and Locket Chatterjee among others in the state committee which was announced today. The MPs Jagannath Sarkar, Arjun Singh, Khagen Murmu and Saumitra Khan have bene appointed as Vice-Presidents. While MPs Locket Chatterjee and Jyotirmay Singh Mahato, MLAs Aginmitra Paul and Dipak Barman have been appointed new General Secretaries.

Altogether nine MLAs have been appointed as Vice-Presidents and Spokespersons in the state committee and there is a clear emphasis on rejuvenating the party and the workers to the grassroot level, BJP sources said on Wednesday.


MLA Joyel Murmu has been appointed as Scheduled tribe Morcha President and MLAs like Agnimitra Paul has been appointed as general secretary , MLAs Ashoke Dinda and Gopal Saha have been appointed as secretaries, among others have been inducted in the state committee as new faces. Priyanka Tibrewal, the advocate who fought the post-poll violence case for victims in Calcutta High Court and also fought as the BJP candidate in by-poll from Bhabanipur against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been inducted in the state committee as secretary.

Yuva Morcha President Suamitra Khan has been replaced by Dr Indranil Khan while BJP Mohila Morcha President Agnimitra Paul has been replaced by Tanuja Chakraborty.
