Opposition leader and Congress MLA Abdul Mannan has raised the issue in the state Assembly which is now having it's budget session. "I have demanded a statement from the state government over the resignation issue of the advocate general. The government will have to inform us clearly why the advocate general and additional advocate general had to resign. The government must clear the reasons responsible for their resignations," Mannan told ET on Tuesday.
He said that the government would table a number of Bills during the current budget session and " we may seek legal explanations for promulgating such Bills and advocate general might have to appear before the Assembly to explain some provisions of the Bills."
