Behenji unveils her own statue with Ambedkar’s
As a justification to unveiling her own statue, Ms Mayawati said that the BSP founder late Kanshi Ram had anointed her as his sole political successor and had also said that her (Mayawati's) statue should be installed alongside his.

Lucknow: UP chief minister Mayawati celebrated the birth anniversary of the dalit icon Dr BR Ambedkar by unveiling her own statue along with that of Dr Ambedkar, his wife Ramabai and the BSP founder Kanshi Ram on Monday.
As a justification to unveiling her own statue, Ms Mayawati said that the BSP founder late Kanshi Ram had anointed her as his sole political successor and had also said that her (Mayawati's) statue should be installed alongside his.
It was therefore, according to Kanshi Ram's wishes, that her statue was installed at the Bahujan Samaj Prerna Kendra in Lucknow and New Delhi and other places, said the BSP chief.
