BJP has asked the govt to keep in mind India's territorial integrity & sentiments of states while finalising accords with the neighbouring country

NEW DELHI: Concerned over the proposed enclaves swap along the Indo-Bangladesh border, BJP has asked the government to keep in mind India's territorial integrity and sentiments of states while finalising accords with the neighbouring country during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Dhaka visit.

"The BJP is of the opinion that during the course of discussions and arrangements arrived at between India and Bangladesh, India's territorial integrity and local sentiments of the border states in India will be fully respected," Leaders of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha - Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley - said in a statement issued on the eve of the Prime Minister's two-day visit.

The BJP leaders, who along with senior party leader LK Advani, had a meeting with the Prime Minister on Friday, said the Prime Minister's visit was intended to strengthen Indo-Bangladesh relations and the party wished him all the best.
