BCCI v Lodha: Supreme Court postpones order to October 17
It was expected that the SC would on Friday pronounce its order on the Justice Lodha Committee's plea, seeking to replace the current BCCI top brass.

It was expected that the SC would on Friday pronounce its order on the Justice Lodha Committee's plea, seeking to replace the current BCCI top brass for impeding the panel's work to usher in transparency and accountability in Indian cricket administration.
However, this will now have to wait until October 17, thus handing the BCCI more time to implement the new set of rules and regulations.
After the SC hearing on October 6, a section of BCCI members said that starting from the third Test match between India and New Zealand from October 8 in Indore, the board will seriously mull staying out of international cricket. One state association member of the BCCI said that it had received another email from board president Anurag Thakur stating that all members collectively need to decide whether to stop the IPL if the tournament is not viewed as more than an extravaganza.
BCCI sources also indicated that given the present scenario, India's domestic season -- the Ranji Trophy kicked off Thursday -- could face postponement.
"There is no clarity on anything. The members have no idea how the board will be run. The BCCI is governed by the Tamil Nadu Societies Act and it is now clear that the Supreme Court does not recognize this act," a member association official told TOI.
