BCCI denies having spent 3.90 crore on Lodha committee
NEW DELHI: The BCCI today said that it has not spent Rs 3.90 crore on the Justice RM Lodha committee but "less than a 10th" of that amount.

Reacting to a report which said that the BCCI has already spent Rs 3.90 crore for the Supreme Court-appointed Lodha committee set up to suggest reforms in the cricket board in the wake of the recent spot fixing scandal, the BCCI said that the news was "wholly false and concocted".

"Over the last 4 months since its formation, the Committee has had more than a dozen sittings in various parts of the country and the amount spent is less than a tenth of what has been misreported," the Board said in a statement.

PTI had inadvertently reported yesterday that the BCCI had already spent Rs 3.90 crore for the Supreme appointed Justice Lodha committee.
