BC Khanduri raises banner of revolt in BJP

BC Khanduri has written to party prez Rajnath Singh over his removal.

NEW DELHI: After former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and Arun Shourie, another BJP leader has raised the banner of revolt. TIMES NOW has learnt that former Uttarakhand CM and BJP leader BC Khanduri has written to party president Rajnath Singh over his removal.

Sources have told that in the letter, Khanduri claims he was made a scapegoat for BJP's dismal performance in the Lok Sabha polls. He goes on to say that despite enjoying support of 27 out of 35 MLAs, he was removed undemocratically. It is learnt that Khanduri has also demanded that the BJP top brass do a rethink on their decision to remove him.

Khanduri had stepped down as the chief minister of Uttarakhand in June after the BJP lost all the five Lok Sabha seats in the state in the polls.

When contacted, BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Wednesday declined to comment on Khanduri's letter.

Interestingly, 'rebel' leader Arun Shourie had written in support of BC Khanduri.
