Batch of 377 pilgrims left Jammu for Amarnath

The batch 262 men, 43 women and 32 sadhus left in a motorcade of 10 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp here at 5 AM, a police official said.

JAMMU: Amid tight security arrangements, the smallest batch till date of 337 pilgrims left for the cave shrine of Amarnath in the south Kashmir Himalayas today.

Over three lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the cave shrine of Amarnath.

The batch 262 men, 43 women and 32 sadhus left in a motorcade of 10 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp here at 5 AM, a police official said.

Amid tight security of CRPF, the convoy has already reached Kud on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.

With today's batch, as many as 43,559 pilgrims have so far left from the Jammu base camp for the shrine.
