Batch of 1,837 pilgrims leave for Amarnath from Jammu

The 15th batch of pilgrims apart from 50 priests, are on way to twin base camps of Pahalagam and Baltal in the Kashmir Valley.

Batch of 1,837 pilgrims leave for Amarnath from Jammu
JAMMU: A batch of 1,837 pilgrims on Thursday left the Jammu base camp for Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.

A convoy of 65 vehicles, carrying 1,837 devotees, left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at around 04.40 AM for their onward journey to the Amarnath cave shrine, police said here on Thursday.

The 15th batch of pilgrims, including 1,386 men, 389 women and 12 children, apart from 50 priests, are on way to twin base camps of Pahalagam and Baltal in the Kashmir Valley.

With on Thursday's batch, a total of 32,823 pilgrims have left the Jammu base camp for Amarnath so far.
