Bareilly administration bars officials from wearing jeans, T-shirt to offices
"DM Singh has instructed that all the staff will come to office in formal dresses, and no male employee will wear jeans and T-shirt," said ADM, S P Singh.

“DM Singh has instructed that all the staff will come to office in formal dresses, and no male employee will wear jeans and T-shirt,” said ADM, S P Singh.
In tune with new chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives, the Bareilly DM also prohibited consumption of pan-masala, tobacco and smoking in government offices.
“He has also said that consuming pan-masala and tobacco, and smoking cigarettes will be completely banned in Collectorate. The DM also asked to install bio-metric attendance machines to ensure all the employees come to office on time,” he said.
Meanwhile, district magistrate of Muzaffarnagar, Dinesh Kumar Singh has also banned consumption of pan-masala and smoking of cigarettes in government offices.
“I will take strict action against the employee who is found chewing tobacco or smoking cigarette in Collectorate premises or any other government office,” Singh said.
Bijnor’s chief development officer (CDO) Indramani Tripathi on Thursday administered oath to the district officials to keep their surroundings clean.
The officials have been warned that if anyone is found consuming paan masala or gutka in the office premises, a fine of Rs 500 will be slapped on him.
The CDO also formed a cleanliness team to keep a tab on the authorities.
“We have got instructions from chief secretary. We all are expected to keep our offices clean. However, there is no provision for penalty. But, we have decided on our own to slap the fine on those who consume prohibited things here,” Tripathi said.
