SHILLONG: The vexed Indo-China border dispute would be resolved soon, a top Air Force official said today.

"Both the countries are holding frequent discussions to sort out the differences over the border dispute. China's disposition, however, has been flexible. We are hopeful that a resolution of the vexed issue would soon be at hand," said, the chief of the Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal P K Barbora, who would be taking over as the chief of the Western Command on January 1.

Asked about the reported intrusions of Chinese, he said, "intrusion is a wrong word. But yes, there have been transgressions."

The EAC chief advocated early opening of the historic Stilwell Road which connects North East India with Yunan Province of China.
