Barack Obama's India visit: Security team to re-visit venues
NEW DELHI: Amid increased threats from Lashkar-e-Taebbya and fears of re-run of 26/11 ahead of Barack Obama's visit, a US Secret Service team is expected to be in India on January 9 for their second visit in less than a month's time for re-inspecting the venues that Barack Obama will visit during his trip.

Eyeing to ensure a smooth run for Obama—a team of Secret Service that protects US Presidents and Vice-Presidents—accompanied by an advance team will be in Delhi and Agra from January 9, official sources hinted.

The teams will give shape to final contours of what appears to be tightly packed schedule for Obama in his second visit to India, sources informed. While trip to Agra to visit iconic Taj Mahal is very much on the cards preferably on Day one (January 25) of his visit, there are only speculations as to whether Obama could squeeze in time for a short trip to Varanasi – Lok Sabha constituency of PM Narendra Modi.
