Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a dig at Modi government 3.0's second full budget-calling, it a 'band-aid for bullet wounds'.

"A band-aid for bullet wounds! Amid global uncertainty, solving our economic crisis demanded a paradigm shift. But this government is bankrupt of ideas," Gandhi wrote in a post on X.



His comments came hours after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for FY2025-26 in the Parliament at 11am on Saturday.

Sitharaman tabled her eight consecutive Budget this morning.

From agriculture to the middle class-Modi 3.0's second full budget included several measures and new schemes for citizens working across sectors.

The FM dedicated the Budget to four main categories: the Youth, Nari (women), Anndaata (farmers) and Gareeb (the poor).

In one of the biggest highlights of this Union Budget, Sitharaman announced nil income tax for salaried people earning upto Rs 12 lakhs per annum.
