Bangladesh connection to Mumbai attacks unlikely: govt official
Masterminds of an Islamic militant attack are unlikely to have come from Bangladesh.

"This is an extremely sensitive issue, but these attackers appear to be much too well trained to have come from here," the official said. "They are too coordinated. It's unlikely anyone from here could have that sort of expertise."
India has in the past frequently accused arch-rival Pakistan of backing Islamic militants active in India, and has recently pointed at Bangladesh as a possible source of cross-border militancy.
Indian premier Manmohan Singh on Thursday delivered a warning to neighbours who provide a haven to anti-India militants, but did not identify any country by name during his speech.
Muslim-majority Bangladesh has been hit by a series of attacks by Islamic terror groups in recent years -- including 400 blasts on just one day in August 2005 by the banned Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Bangladeshi leaders on Thursday condemned the Mumbai attacks as "cowardly" and "mindless acts of terror."
