The Metro also announced it plans to launch operations on Nagasadra- BIEC in Jan 2022 and Byapanahalli-Whitefield in June 2022. As for the new route, it plans to open RV Road-Bommasandra in March 2022 and Kalena Agrahara-Nagawara in June 2024. The chief minister on Thursday launched tunnel boring machine (TBM) Urja in Shivajinagar which will start digging tunnel upto Cantonment and beyond. The government, he said, would be spending Rs 30,695 crore on metro phase II.
