70-year-old Bainsla reach here from the Karwadi, the epicentre of the agitation for Scheduled Tribes status, by a state government helicopter.
Shortly after arrival, he met the 22-member team of his outfit, Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti, at Teej Hotel here and held consultations ahead of the parleys with the Rajasthan government delegation.
Welcoming the proposals put forward by government to resolve the Gujjar agitation, Bainsla, the top leader of Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti, had said last night that he would go to Jaipur to hold further talks.
"I'm happy. I will go to Jaipur and a result will come out. We are prima facie happy with the proposals of the Rajasthan government", Bainsla had told reporters in Karwadi.
The state government's proposals were contained in a letter which was brought to Bainsla by a team of Gujjar leaders from Jaipur to Karwadi by a state government helicopter.
The team, which included Delhi NCP MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Haryana MLA Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria and former Jammu and Kashmir IPS officer Masud Chaudhary, had returned to the state capital yesterday evening carrying the views of the community leadership.
Both Bainsla and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje have so far been out of the talks, two rounds of which were held at the level of officials and lower-rung leaders of both sides in the state capital.
