Bailable arrest warrant issued against Manipur BJP MLA Biswajit and his wife

A Manipur court on Tuesday issued a bailable arrest warrant against BJP MLA Biswajit and his wife, Junreiwon.

The order was issued after the MLA from Thongju constituency and his wife failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons in connection with a trial case.

Counsel for the accused persons argued that Thongam Biswajit Singh is heavily engaged in his official works and function of Government and accused Junreiwon being his wife cannot leave him alone in his work.


The court also rejected the dispensation application of the two accused.
