Badaun incident: CPI to hold protest in all Uttar Pradesh districts
In the wake of gang rape & killing of two teenage girls in UP's Badaun, the CPI has decided to stage state-wide protest against the sudden spurt in crime against women.

CPI state secretary Girish said a party delegation would visit Badaun tomorrow and meet the family members of the victims.
A discussion on the sudden rise in crime against women in the state was held during the party's state executive meeting here today, he said. The meeting also decided to hold demonstrations in all the district headquarters on June 12, demanding security for women.
Girish alleged that at least 12 incidents of atrocities against girls and women are committed in the state every day by anti-social and criminal elements, in collusion with police and administration.
Discussion was also held on the power crisis in the state, and it was said that instead of levelling allegations and counter-allegations, the state and the Centre should jointly work out a solution to it.
