Badals ruined economy and democracy of Punjab: Bajwa

NAWANSHAHR: Congress today accused the Parkash Singh Badal family of ruining the economic, social and democratic character of Punjab for their vested political and business interests.

Addressing a meeting of party workers here, Punjab Congress Chief Partap Singh Bajwa said the Badal family had ruined democratic institutions, promoted lawlessness and created an economic mess.

" Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should not blame Congress for his own ills. The unholy alliance between SAD and BJP has only increased corruption," he alleged.

At least three ministers of SAD and an equal number of BJP ministers and one Chief Parliamentary Secretary were found involved in embezzlement of central funds and bribery, Bajwa said.

Three BJP ministers were forced to resign on corruption charges and SAD ministers have been named in education department and rural development department scams, he said.
