LUDHIANA: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will meet Ludhiana-based industrialists on July 27-28 in Chandigarh.
"I have called a meeting of Ludhiana-based industrialists in Chandigarh on July 27, in which their problems will be listened to in detail, and efforts will be put in to resolve them speedily," Badal told mediapersons here on Ssturday.
The Chief Minister who was in the city today held an hour-long meeting. Industrialists apprised Badal of their wide range of issues.
Dyeing industry asked the government to provide relief in respect to the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court for stopping the discharge of treated or untreated waste in to Budha Nallah, based on the recommendations of P Ram Committee constituted for cleaning the Budha Nallah.
The industry also sought the simplification of VAT refunds at the earliest.
