Babulal Marandi today met Governor Syed Ahmed and urged him to dissolve the state assembly which would give the people a chance to vote afresh.

RANCHI: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric) chief Babulal Marandi today met Governor Syed Ahmed and urged him to dissolve the state assembly which would give the people a chance to vote afresh.

"I have told the Governor that most of the political parties had been in one or the other governments in the last 12 years. Any further delay in dissolving the House would encourage horse trading," Marandi told reporters at the Raj Bhavan after handing over a letter urging the Governor to dissolve the House at the earliest.

In his letter, a copy of which was circulated to the media, Marandi claimed no party was in a position to give a stable government in the prevailing situation.

Marandi's JVM has 11 MLAs in the 82-member Jharkhand Assembly.
