The court on Monday recorded the statement of Sudhir Kakkar. It had issued notices to the Central Bureau of Investigation to attach the properties of Pandey, who is said to have become a monk and has not appeared before the court despite repeated summons.
NEW DELHI: The special CBI court conducting the trial of the Babri Masjid demolition case will later this week examine BJP leaders LK Advani and MM Joshi, who are among the accused. Former deputy PM LK Advani has been asked to record his statement on July 24.

Joshi’s examination is scheduled aday before. The two senior leaders are at liberty to appear in person or through videoconferencing to get their statements recorded under Section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code, said people with direct knowledge of the matter.

Of the total 32 accused, the court in Lucknow has examined 27 people till Monday. Besides Advani and Joshi, the others who are yet to be questioned are Ram Chandra Khattri, Satish Pradhan and Om Prakash Pandey.
