Baba Ramdev backs Assam minister on cancer remark, says people have to bear fruits of Karma
Assam health minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma was vehemently criticized after he said that that those dying of cancer or in accident is the result of sins committed in past life.

Ramdev who was in Assam on Friday said that it is the fruits of Karma (deeds) which one has to bear.
Sarma was vehemently criticized after he said that that those dying of cancer or in accident is the result of sins committed in past life.
Later Sarma offered to apologise to those who might have been hurt owing to controversy.
Ramdev said, “What Himanta Biswa said if we see in larger context it is correct. Sarma’s comment was distorted.”
Yoga Guru added, “Whatever a person gets good or bad it is based on Karma Fal (deeds outcome). Disease is basically due to three factors which include genetics, which is again Karma fal besides living habits and environment.”
Ramdev said, “Everything is related to deeds, our birth and death are related to deeds. For disease there is several reasons one reason is Karma.”
Recently Himanta participated in the Yoga camp in Kokrajhar where he said, “We must support Patanjali for it is not a business venture but a Swadeshi (indigenous) awakening movement.”
