B S Yeddyurappa's camp trying to slap false cases against me: Sadananda Gowda

Former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today charged BJP strongman B S Yeddyurappa's camp with trying to slap false corruption cases against him.

BANGALORE: Former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today charged BJP strongman B S Yeddyurappa's camp with trying to slap false corruption cases against him and alleged it was a conspiracy to ensure he did not get a prominent post in the party.

"I have received information that Yeddyurappa's supporters have been making discrete enquiries about my assets in and around Bangalore and in my native place. I have clear information that a corruption case will be filed against me in the Lokayukta," Gowda said here.

Gowda alleged that former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa's supporters were behind a case filed against him in Karnataka High Court relating to a structure coming up in his Bangalore Development Authority site at HSR layout.

He said the petitioner in the case Nagalakshmi Bai was approached by Yeddyurappa's supporters to file a corruption case against him.

Gowda said all this was part of a conspiracy to ensure he did not get any prominent post in the party when he is considered to be a leading contender for the post of State BJP President.

"I am ready to face any challenge from the Yeddyurappa camp," Gowda said.
