NEW DELHI: B S Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Monday afternoon.

Along with him, BJP legislators Jagadish Shettar, V S Acharya, Govind Karajol and R Ashok, took oath as ministers in Karnataka.

JD(S) on Sunday said that its 18 ministers, including deputy chief minister, are slated to be sworn in at one go at a later date after the coalition wins the floor test.

Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was on Sunday elected leader of the JD(S) Legislature Party. The party, however, said the deputy chief minister's name would be announced the day all its ministers take oath.

BJP's top leaders, including L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Yashwant Sinha, M Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, and Sushma Swaraj attended the swearing-in ceremony.
