Azam Khan slams Narendra Modi's "Red Fort" speech
RAMPUR (UP): Uttar Pradesh Urban Development minister Azam Khan today said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi may have announced he did not want to be the prime minister, but that had not prevented him from creating a "fake Red Fort from where he delivered an address posing as the PM".

"This is his (Modi's) greatness that he's not dreaming of becoming the prime minister," Khan said in an apparently sarcastic remark. "But actually he is very much inclined to create a fake Red Fort and address the nation from there posing as PM."

"Fake Lal Qila, fake country and fake PM is Modi's dream," Khan said.

Addressing a Teachers' Day function in Gujarat on Sept.5, Modi had said, "I never see such dreams (of becoming PM), nor am I going to see such dreams. People of Gujarat have given me the mandate to serve them till 2017 and I have to do this with full strength."

Khan was referring to Modi's address yesterday in BJP- ruled Chhattisgarh delivered from a stage designed to replicate Delhi's Red Fort.
