Azam Khan refutes allegation of 'misbehaviour' with engineer
RAMPUR: Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan today refuted allegations of " misbehaviour" with an engineer of UP bridge construction division a few days back and claimed that he only wanted to check documents pertaining to construction of a flyover here.

"An under-construction flyover here was inspected by me on June 25 where it was found to be not up to the mark. Certain portions of the flyover had caved in many times in which two workers had lost their lives," he alleged.

"I simply wanted to check the documents pertaining to construction of the flyover," Khan claimed.

Alleging that the state Cabinet minister had "misbehaved" with an engineer here, employees of the UP bridge construction division have suspended work demanding an apology from him.

"What is wrong if I had expressed my intention to check the discrepancies? It is my duty to see that not a single paise of the government is wasted," Azam said.

"If demanding to check documents related to a particular construction work is misbehaviour, then it is nothing more than a false allegation," he added.
