Azam Khan flays Kalyan Singh's nomination as Rajasthan's Governor
JALAUN (UP): A day after Kalyan Singh was made Rajasthan Governor, Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan today accused the BJP-led NDA government of appointing a person accused in the Babri mosque demolition case to the gubernatorial office.

Azam told reporters that while Kalyan Singh has been "rewarded" by his appointment as Governor, BJP MLA Sangeet Som has been provided with Z category security.

The SP leader also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "taking power by making false promises".

Referring to the recent remark of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Azam said at the time of independence Mahatma Gandhi promised that Muslims will be given status equal to Hindus, but now RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was terming all those living in India as Hindus.
