Azam Khan berates West over Paris attacks; stirs new row
Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan said the Paris terror attack was a “reaction” to the “killing of innocents” in the Gulf region by the “superpowers”..

He said the action of the US and Russia in countries like Syria and Iraq to exploit their rich oil and uranium reserves was now leading to a backlash on the Western soil. Khan’s bid to justify the terror attacks attracted widespread criticism and he was quick to distance himself from the “action-reaction” remarks. “The words being quoted are not mine. They are being made up for television TRPs.”
"I have never said anything like this and I have always been against all kinds of terrorism," the controversial minister stated.
He claimed he was being unfairly targeted by his political opponents and the media for very long since he was a Muslim.
