AVAM's 'dubious funding' claims: I-T department issues notice to AAP
AAP Volunteer Action Manch (AVAM) had on February 2 alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal-led party (AAP) has indulged in a 'funding scam'.

Questioning claims of 'transparency' by Aam Aadmi Party, AAP Volunteer Action Manch ( AVAM) had on February 2 alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal-led party (AAP) has indulged in a ' funding scam'.
According to AVAM, AAP received four donations of Rs 50 lakh each from bogus companies. Showcasing what they claimed were screenshots from AAP's website, AVAM had said, "All these four donations of Rs 50 lakh each were received on April 5, 2014 at 12:00 AM. All the four companies mentioned on the AAP website are bogus," AVAM claimed, while questioning AAP's funding routes.

AVAM had followed up with more charges against its parent outfit with regard to the Rs 2 crore donation that was transferred to the AAP kitty a year ago by dubious companies, but AAP sought to use the issue to their advantage by approaching the Supreme Court.
AVAM members had said AAP’s claim about the impossibility of conducting hawala transaction through cheque is untrue. They tried to prove this by producing two cheques of Rs 50 lakh each from the two firms which had donated the same sum to AAP — Goldmine Buildcon and Skyline Metal and Alloys.
Reacting to AVAM's claims, AAP spokesman Yogendra Yadav had said there was no problem with its funding and if they had to hide facts. they would not have uploaded these details on their website. He said the party was ready for any probe.
