Two years ago, the Delhi government had made GPS mandatory for autos owing to safety of passengers, especially for women, in the national capital.

"Auto drivers are downloading pictures of Modi's cleanliness drive in hard disk of their GPS-enabled meters. They can now show picutures of Narendra Modi appealing to people to join cleanliness drive. Around 2,100 autos have joined the campaign and are encouraging their passengers to support it," Delhi Autorickshaw Sangh general secretary Rajendra Soni said.

He said that as it is a good initiative taken by PM Modi, most autorickshaw drivers will be supporting it.

There are around 80,000 autorickshaws plying in the national capital and, the union claimed that they have a control over the maximum numbers of autorickshaws in the city.
