Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop to be in India for talks

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop will be visiting India this week during which she will hold talks with her Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj.

NEW DELHI: Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop will be visiting India this week during which she will hold talks with her Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday.

Bishop will attend the 10th framework dialogue between the two countries along with Swaraj. She will also hold talks with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday.

During her four-day visit, the Australian foreign minister will travel to Chennai to inaugurate the Consulate General and participate in an India-Australia business event on Wednesday.

Bishop will also attend social events including a visit to an Australian government funded project for women empowerment in Nizamuddin here.
She will also deliver a lecture at St Stephens college. Bishop will leave on Thursday morning.
