JAMMU: With the dip in Indo-Pak relations over the attack on Indian patrol in which five soldiers were killed, there was no exchange of sweets and pleasantries between officials of Armies of the two countries on Eid along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.


"There was no exchange of sweets and pleasantries with Pakistani Army today at LoC in Chakan-Da-Bagh Border crossing point in Poonch," a senior Army officer said.

However, exchange of sweets took place between Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers at Octroi Border Out Post along the International Border in R S Pura belt in Jammu district today.

A group of 20 heavily-armed men had entered 450 metres inside Indian territory in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and ambushed a patrol, killing five Indian jawans.
