Assembly polls: AIADMK calls for applications from aspiring candidates

CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa today called for applications from aspiring candidates of her party for Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Puduchery and Kerala which are due in a few months.

Those willing to contest the polls could obtain forms and return the filled-in ones at the party headquarters here from January 20 to February 3, 2016 by paying the required fee, she said in a statement.

In a separate statement, party Treasurer O Panneerselvam said the cost of applications was Rs 11,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000 for Tamil Nadu, Puduchery and Kerala respectively.
