Assembly Polls 2013: Narendra Modi wave sweeping country, says Himachal BJP

SHIMLA: The Himachal BJP today hailed the victory of the party in assembly elections, saying a Modi wave was sweeping the country.

"It was a decisive verdict against the Congress and a Modi wave is sweeping the country," former chief minister P K Dhumal said.

The results showed people were fed up with the Congress and the Modi factor had worked in favour of the party, he said.

"We have won the semi-final and the Modi wave will help the party sweep the coming Lok Sabha polls," Dhumal said.

On the spectacular performance of the Aam Adami Party in Delhi, Dhumal said there was no possibility of emergence of a third alternative.

Former Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Bharadwaj and party spokesman Ganesh Dutt said the people had given a clear verdict totally rejecting the Congress.

They had found BJP as the only credible alternative to steer the country out of present mess, they said.
